EPE Conseil Indicator ESI 24 (HF+LF) - EMF Meter
The EPE Conseil Indicator ESI 24 is a compact and easy to use HF+LF EMF meter with high resolution HF-mode
The EPE Conseil Indicator ESI24 is a simple to use EMF meter that provides a quick overview of the High Frequencies (HF) and Low Frequencies (LF) in the environment.
Numeric measurement values are not displayed, the EMF measurements are indicated using LED colour bands corresponding to the standard of building biology.
ESI 24 Frequency detection range
During standard mode, the 3 types of fields (electric fields, magnetic fields, electromagnetic fields) are indicated, each with 6 LEDs.
Whilst using the high-definition mode for high-frequency fields, all 18 LEDs will be available for a particularised display.
- Low-frequency electrical fields (LF) ranging from 16 Hz to 3 kHz
- Low-frequency magnetic fields (LF) ranging from 16 Hz to 3 kHz
- Electromagnetic fields (HF) ranging from 50 MHz to 10 GHz
This 3D-measuring and visualisation of electric and magnetic fields was otherwise only available in very expensive devices.
How to use the EPE Conseil Indicator ESI 24 EMF Meter
Detect ambient electro-smog and identification of pulsed radiation sources
- Press once the “on-off” button to switch on the device in standard mode.
- Hold the device at arm length away from your body.
- Move slowly around to detect ambient electro-smog (the device performs a new detection every two seconds).
NB: to switch the sound on or off, press and hold the “on-off” button.
Detect ambient Radio Frequencies (RF) smog with enhanced sensitivity
- Press once the “on-off” button to switch on the device in standard mode.
- Press the “select” button once to enter high-resolution RF mode. LED 1 and 2 will stay lit.
- Hold the device at arm length away from your body.
- Move slowly around to detect ambient radiation (the device performs a new detection every two seconds).
NB: In this mode, all 18 LEDs show RF radiation. LED 1 and 2 (bottom left) show the lowest radiation level while LED 18 (top right) shows the highest radiation level.
Check electrical appliances for avoidable electric fields
- Press the “on-off” button to switch on the device in standard mode.
- Press the “select” button twice to enter plug checking mode. The upper green LED (next to the plug symbol) will light up.
- Hold the device at arm length away from your body, and near the switched off appliance you want to test (e.g. lamp). The upper red LED (next to the plug symbol) will light up if an electric field is present.
Features
- Operating modes: Standard mode, high resolution mode HF
- Audio indicator: Sound frequency changes with increasing field strengths
- Power supply: 9 V battery
- Operating time: 10 to 15 hours in permanent operation
- Weight: 140 g
- Size: 140 x 63 x 30 mm
- Scope of delivery: Detector, battery, basic instructions
FAQ
When putting the battery in place, please make sure that the battery cable is not sited underneath the battery, but is placed instead at the side of the battery, between the battery and the compartment wall. Failure to comply with instructions can cause damage to cable and / or cause battery compartment lid to not close properly.
Upon start up, one of the two upper LEDs will light up briefly, either the green one (battery power between 25% and 100%) or the red one (battery power below 25%). If the red LED is steadily flashing, power is too low and the battery needs to be replaced.
The device will switch off automatically after use.
