Most saunas heat the air around you. Ours heats you directly.
Far infrared (FIR) saunas use longer wavelengths that warm the skin but don’t support photobiomodulation. The FireLight® Sauna uses incandescent near infrared light (700–1500 nm) that penetrates deeper, raises core temperature faster, and activates true cellular healing.

Unlike traditional or far-infrared saunas that heat the air around you, the FireLight® Sauna uses radiant near infrared light (980–1500 nm) to heat your body directly. This thermal near infrared penetrates deep into tissues, raising your core temperature from the inside out, fast. No preheating required. Just step in, switch on, and the transformation begins.
Most people begin sweating within 5 minutes. In the Classic Sauna (4 bulbs), a full session is around 20–30 minutes. In the SuperSauna (7 bulbs), it’s even faster, closer to 15–20 minutes.

Why can’t I lie down in this sauna?
Because upright posture activates more than just your sweat.
The FireLight® Sauna is designed to engage your whole system. Sitting tall allows for better circulation, deeper light absorption, and more effective detoxification. It opens your breath, aligns your spine, and supports full-body exposure as you gently rotate.
Lying down may feel restful, but it reduces lymphatic flow, collapses posture, and limits the therapeutic reach of the light. Upright, you’re not just receiving warmth, you’re participating in the healing.

Do I need a special stool or chair?
Yes, and it’s included.
The Basswood Sauna Stool supports proper alignment and is handcrafted for comfort, breathability, and rotation. Once you use it, you’ll never go back.
Do I rotate during my session?
Yes, and it’s a core part of how FireLight® works.
Our saunas are designed for full-body exposure. As you gently rotate every few minutes, each side of your body receives direct, radiant near infrared light, no need for extra bulbs or longer sessions. Some people turn in quarters, others sway side to side. Let your body set the rhythm.
Rotation also creates natural thermal contrast: while one side warms, the other cools slightly. This activates circulation, enhances lymphatic flow, and drives the heat deeper into your tissues.
In the SuperSauna® (7 bulbs), most people reach a 3°F core temperature rise and release about a pound of water in just 15 minutes. The Classic (4 bulbs) takes closer to 20–30. No preheat, no steam, just real, radiant heat that moves with you.
How much does it cost to run?

How long do FireLight® Bulbs last, and how do I replace them?
The FireLight® Bulb is rated for 5,000 hours and typically lasts 5 to 10 years, depending on use. When it eventually burns out, replacing it is simple. It screws in just like a standard bulb, no tools needed.
If it burns out within five years, we’ll replace it for free under our warranty. After that, you’ll still get a special replacement price of $95.

Do I need a special stool or chair?

Do I rotate during my session?
Yes, and it’s a core part of how FireLight® works.
Our saunas are designed for full-body exposure. As you gently rotate every few minutes, each side of your body receives direct, radiant near infrared light, no need for extra bulbs or longer sessions. Some people turn in quarters, others sway side to side. Let your body set the rhythm.
Rotation also creates natural thermal contrast: while one side warms, the other cools slightly. This activates circulation, enhances lymphatic flow, and drives the heat deeper into your tissues.
In the SuperSauna® (7 bulbs), most people reach a 3°F core temperature rise and release about a pound of water in just 15 minutes. The Classic (4 bulbs) takes closer to 20–30. No preheat, no steam, just real, radiant heat that moves with you.
How much does it cost to run?

How long do FireLight® Bulbs last, and how do I replace them?
The FireLight® Bulb is rated for 5,000 hours and typically lasts 5 to 10 years, depending on use. When it eventually burns out, replacing it is simple. It screws in just like a standard bulb, no tools needed.
If it burns out within five years, we’ll replace it for free under our warranty. After that, you’ll still get a special replacement price of $95.
